What is the iLEAD Jamaica Expedition?

For the 8 past years, students and faculty from the School of Business at Nipissing University have been visiting Jamaica to work on management projects with small businesses engaged in sustainable tourism as a part of the  ADMN 3336 Special Projects course. For each project, the students use the skills and knowledge they have acquired in the classroom to solve management issues. The course is part of the iLEAD Business Certificate offered at the university.

The course and the projects have evolved over the years to become multi-disciplinary, with students and faculty from areas outside of business joining the team, adding different approaches and perspectives.

This year, students and faculty from Business, Social Welfare and Social Development, and Nursing will be working on two management projects with Geddes Estate in Claremont, in the parish of St. Ann.

Follow this year's expedition from February 18-25, 2019.
